Short Course students are international students currently enrolled in accredited universities overseas or external applicants from industry, government and research sectors.

International students include undergraduate or postgraduate study abroad, exchange and summer only (northern hemisphere) students.

Students are enrolled directly with UQ's Centre for Marine Studies, not as UQ students through the University’s central enrolment system.

The courses are offered mid-year and are not available as part of a Study Abroad/Exchange semester.

Students may undertake the courses without other study in Australia or in addition to undertaking a Study Abroad/Exchange semester at The University of Queensland or another Australian university.

Please refer to the Program Calendar and the UQ Academic Calendar for dates to ensure course choices don't conflict with the semester calendar.

Course credit gained at UQ is usually transferable towards your degree at your home university.
