| All students must demonstrate that their
current level of English language proficiency meets The University
of Queensland's (UQ's) minimum entry requirements. The minimum IELTS
and TOEFL
scores required for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and
research programs at the university are indicated in the table below;
other acceptable evidence of English language proficiency is outlined
in the university's policy, English

TEST Validation
English language tests and examination results will only be considered
if not more than two years have elapsed between the date
of the test or final examinations and the date of commencement of
study in the Great Barrier Reef Study Program at the Centre for
Marine Studies, The University of Queensland.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
The University will accept a certified copy of the IELTS
test result and will verify the results using the IELTS online
verification system.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The University requires an original copy of the TOEFL test results
to be sent directly from the testing service to the University.
Please ask the Educational Testing Service to send the Official
Score Report directly to The University of Queensland, Institution
Code 0987.

Options
Students who do not meet these entry requirements may undertake
intensive
English language studies at the University's on-campus Institute
of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE-UQ) and pass
the IELTS test on completion of these studies to qualify for entry
to the Great Barrier Reef Study Program.
